Participants will explore building design solutions using precast/prestressed concrete products. They will learn what precast/prestressed concrete products are and how the components can be used to create various building systems. The program will include a review of the industry certification program (PCI) of plants. Participants will explore examples of architectural and structural concrete solutions for numerous market segments. The presentation will include a review of various design considerations, thermal efficient systems and a variety of architectural finishes and how each is created in terms of color, form and texture. They will explore common structural solutions using prestressed concrete products and explore integrated solutions; realizing the full potential of load-bearing precast concrete with architectural finishes.
