The F.E. Robinson Residence Hall, named after one of Bryan College’s founders, first opened in August 2006. Robinson has a total of 60 rooms and accommodates approximately 120 college students each school year.
First breaking ground in December 2005, this new student dorm was scheduled to open the following August when students returned from summer break. And it needed to be constructed with little disruption to the active campus and surrounding, occupied buildings.
A total precast system offered the speed of construction and minimal site impact necessary to meet the August 2006 deadline. A total of 233 architectural and structural precast concrete pieces were erected within a 20-day window
