Ernest Heinen is a Carpenter in our Spartanburg, SC plant. He’s been a member of the Metromont team for 20 years and says his journey with the company has had its ups and downs but is fulfilling. “Metromont challenges me and pushes me to learn, like how to create different daps for our double tees. I’ve known guys who worked at the Charlotte plant who’ve been at Metromont for 30 and 40 years. I remember when we built the Hearst Tower in Charlotte. That was fun!”

Q: Being a part of the Metromont family for 20 years is remarkable! How has that journey been?

A: It’s had its up’s and downs but I’m excited to see how things are moving. I’ve known guys from Charlotte plant who are now here for 30-40 years.

Q: If there’s one word you could use to describe your experience with Metromont, what would it be and why?

A: Challenging- Metromont pushes me, and learning how to create different daps for our Double Tee’s is remarkable. Getting together and hanging out. It takes a certain mentality to work at Metromont.”
