Driven by growing enrollment at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, the university and RISE Real Estate collaborated in Tennessee’s first-ever public-private partnership to expand its student housing facilities. Phase 1 of the project includes two seven-story total precast structures, Beacon Hall East and Beacon Hall West, that provide 583 new beds each for UTK students. A total precast concrete solution was chosen to meet the scheduled opening for the Fall 2025 semester. The two fast-track buildings were completed in approximately 20 months.
