Home of MLB’s St. Louis Cardinals, Busch Stadium is a 1,500,000 sq ft open-air baseball facility, featuring 46,844 seats, 106 suites, party rooms, concessions and restrooms.
With the Cardinal’s 2004 baseball season still in full swing, construction began on their soon to be home turf. The site for the new stadium overlapped the existing site which meant that construction had to be phased in such a way that caused little disruption but also met the timeline.
The New Busch Stadium was ready for the opening game of the Cardinal’s 2006 season. Ten years and two World Series Championships later, it’s still one of the most highly revered stadiums in the league.
