Opened in August 2017 as a replacement for the Georgia Dome, Mercedes-Benz Stadium serves as the home stadium for the Atlanta Falcons. With features such as a retractable roof and flexible seating that can be adjusted to 75,000 or up to 83,000 depending upon events, the 2.1 million SF Mercedes-Benz Stadium is a steek structure with prestressed concrete stadia seating sections. The stadium is LEED platinum certified and includes sustainable features such as high-efficiency water fixtures that reduce sanitary water consumption by 40%. LED lighting also serves to reduce the stadium’s energy maintenance costs. Metromont’s Hiram, GA manufacturing facility produced approximately 380,000 SF of precast concrete stadia seat sections for the project (approximately 2,600 pieces).
