Sanderson Farms is a state-of-the-art poultry complex with the capacity to process 1.25 million birds per week. This facility employs approximately 1,500 people and requires 130 contract growers.
With any food processing facility, food safety is the number one priority. Precast concrete provides a non-porous, smooth, hard wall concrete surface. Add to that a design with no exposed ledges and the use of a USDA approved sealant for interior caulking, precast offered a structure that is durable and easy to maintain.
Metromont provided a total precast structure that allowed for quick occupancy and provided a single source to handle the design of the equipment and to hang MEP loading. High R-Value insulated walls were provided at conditioned and cooler spaces.
