Located in downtown Naples, Florida, the First Avenue South public parking garage is a three-story precast structure with four levels of parking adjacent to Naples Square and the Gulfshore Playhouse Project. The garage includes 366 parking spaces for visitors to downtown Naples, with 105 spaces on the rooftop level reserved for Gulfshore Playhouse valet during dedicated showtime hours. The southeast corner of the second level contains a covered pocket park.
Metromont’s Bartow, FL manufacturing facility produced approximately 93,000 square feet of precast concrete for the project. The garage’s exterior received a form finish that was painted by others to blend with the surrounding structures. The corner entrance is highlighted by a flying staircase supported by cantilevered walls to allow for an open pathway to the stairway. Decorative metal screens add a dramatic architectural flair to the exterior, while native palms and wind-resistant grasses contribute to thoughtful landscaping in an area prone to extreme weather conditions.
