Located in Charlotte’s vibrant South End area, the Lowe’s Global Technology Center is a 23-story office tower that provides nearly 358,000 SF of urban office space for approximately 2,000 technology professionals.
Developed as a joint partnership by Childress Klein and RAM Realty Advisors for Lowe’s, the Global Technology Center is the tallest planned office building in Charlotte’s South End neighborhood and includes multi-level tenant spaces and multi-tenant collaborative workspaces.
Metromont’s Greenville, SC manufacturing facility produced nearly 50,000 SF of architectural precast cladding with both heavy and light sandblast finishes for the project. Cast-in thin brick was utilized to create an exterior façade that blends with the surrounding industrial-style architecture of South End. The office building includes a 900-space parking garage, floor-to-ceiling glass offices, and is adjacent to an eight-level, 160,000-SF precast parking deck also produced by Metromont’s Greenville plant. The use of precast concrete reduced the overall construction schedule and contributed to faster occupancy of the building. The Lowe’s Global Technology Center was a “Top Office Development” finalist in the Charlotte Business Journal’s 2022 Heavy Hitters Awards.
