The new Brightline Parking Garage in Boca Raton, FL, provides parking for passengers of the Brightline high-speed railway linking Orlando and Miami.
The garage features four elevated levels of precast concrete and provides 391 parking spaces for passengers and Brightline employees. The parking garage features striking yellow and white painted sections that complement the reveals, creating rectangular panels on the gray concrete façade above the entrance. Metal screens cover pieces of the open deck, allowing for natural light and open-air ventilation, melding contemporary and industrial concepts together.
Metromont’s Bartow, FL, manufacturing facility produced 484 precast concrete pieces and provided 129,047 SF of elevated precast for this project. All precast concrete components for the Brightline Parking Garage were installed over two months, enabling other subcontractors to begin their work sooner.
On-site adjustments were made to keep the parking deck from encroaching on the Brightline Station and train tracks. Due to the limited surface on the site, the Brightline Parking Garage was built over a cast-in-place stormwater vault.
