Located in the heart of downtown Cary, NC, the Fenton Parking Deck “D1,” otherwise known as the Orange Deck, is part of a large 69-acre mixed-use development project. The new precast parking deck provides much-needed parking for shoppers and retailers in The Triangle.
The Orange Deck is a tabletop parking deck with one elevated level of precast concrete. The deck showcases a structural gray concrete mix, an architectural mix, simple but decorative reveals, and a medium sandblast finish on the façade. A band of brick veneer was applied to the outer perimeter onsite by another party.
Metromont’s Greenville and Spartanburg, SC, manufacturing facilities produced a combined 122,329 SF of precast concrete for this project. Precast erection started in February of 2021 and was completed within a two-month period.
