Located on a 34.85-acre site in Raleigh, North Carolina, Phase 1 of the NC Department of Health and Human Services’ Urban Park includes an 11-story, 460,000-SF office tower, central utility plant, and nine-level, 316,458-SF precast parking structure providing more than 1,000 spaces for employees and visitors. The parking deck also features a rooftop solar array, with 1,080 solar panels producing 840 MWh per year. This will save approximately 15% in annual energy costs.
Metromont’s Greenville and Spartanburg, SC manufacturing facilities produced approximately 365,000 square feet of structural precast concrete and architectural precast cladding for the parking structure and office building. The office building houses over 3,100 DHHS employees and will include a conference and training center for DHHS and other State agencies.
